A legal services company approached H2 regarding their data protection stance. They were concerned that the plethora of personal data that they were required to hold on behalf of clients was becoming unmanageable, and they needed to understand what their holdings were, exactly where and how it was held, and if it was secure.
A full data discovery exercise was undertaken and a full mapping of where the data was, what it was, and what the data flow patterns were across the organisation. Data was sorted into sensitive and non-sensitive data and all sensitive data was encrypted. An audit system was enabled to monitor data in real time and a managed service to do so, was set up.
